I posted about Cindy’s Danang Intercontinental wedding photography story before, but I am super excited to present a awesome new video produced, shot, edited and directed by one of our partners Tim Barker. After Cindy decided on hiring me to be her wedding photographer about 6 months later she got interested to know more about MWedding’s video partners. I introduced to her Tim and that he was great to work with and she went ahead and booked him.
Vincent’s sister Valerie got in touch with me 2 weeks back and wanted to give her newly married brother a special photo session wedding gift to remember their honeymoon in Vietnam. Valerie put me in touch with Vincent and we all decided that since they had done pre wedding images back in Belgium before they got married that all they really needed was 1-2 hour portrait session to have some momentos. Since I am based in Danang, we decided for a short session like this it would be easier to do it at the Danang Fusion Maia resort they are staying at.
From the very beginning Cindy was just a joy to talk to. She contacted me over a year before her wedding at the Intercontinental Danang and we shared ideas throughout that whole time. By the time I met her I felt like I was meeting up with a old friend.
Beside wedding photography, Cindy also wanted to have a wedding video made and I helped her get in touch with one of our trusted wedding video suppliers. If your interested, you should defiantly read our post about making a Danang Wedding video.
An Intercontinental Danang wedding is a pleasure to shoot and an amazing location to have a wedding at. For a photographer, there is an unlimited supply of shadows, light and colors to work with. It is kind on like a wedding photographer’s wish list location. If your looking for an unique luxury 5 star Southeast Asian beach wedding location, then you should seriously consider the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort.
My phone rings with a Hong Kong number and I answered with curiosity. On the other end of the line was a very sweet woman named Emily who had rang me up to talk to me about her upcoming wedding in Danang and a Pre-Wedding Photography in Hoi An.
I love it when clients do this as it really helps me understand more about the character and personalities of the couple and to find out what they are looking for.
She had asked me for my wedding packages and pre-wedding packages some time back and wanted to talk to me over the phone in more detail. Emily was all too kind and told me how much she enjoyed not only my wedding photography but also my corporate, commercial and video work. She then proceeded to tell me she worked for CNBC Hong Kong for over 10 years. As soon as she said that I knew she would be an awesome bride to shoot and was even more excited to shoot her wedding.
Emily & Yat organized to have a traditional Chinese wedding with the whole full day of events. If you have never experienced a Chinese wedding and all the traditions that come along with it, it is a great experience and I had a great time shooting it. Emily and Yat had a lot of friends fly over from all over the world and they decided to get married at Hyatt Regency Danang which is one of the only 5 star resorts in Danang that can cater to a large wedding.
The day before the wedding, I took them out for a 1/2 day pre-wedding shoot in Hoi An which are the first photos below.
Dayna & Tom contacted me back in 2013 to get some recommendation for resorts that do weddings in Danang. Danang currently has a number of very nice 5 star resorts, but they didn’t want one that was too remote and away from Danang, so I recommended them look at the Fusion Maia & Hyatt Regency Danang and ended choosing the later.
Their wedding was very intimate and sweet with everyone standing and gathered around them during the ceremony. The Hyatt staff did a great job in organizing and designing the wedding and everything went off without a hitch.
It was sunny, people were happy and the libations were flowing generously, as far as I was concerned it couldn’t have been better. Thank you Dyana and Tom for letting me be part of your wedding day and to tell your story.
This wedding was not for the faint of heart and was full of great moments and memories. Char and Adam and their guests traveled from all of the world to be in Hoi An for their wedding and they didn’t seem to suffer from any jetlag.
There was a little Aussie mixed with Jewish wedding traditions and a whole lot of …… beverage consumption. If you ever get to attend a wedding like Adam and Char’s you will be lucky and I was sure happy that they chose me to tell the story of their wedding day.
In a whole everything went off without a hitch thanks to the Hoi An Events Team. During our portrait session after the ceremony we ran into a little rain, but since I had scouted the day before and prepared every detail of your portrait shoot everything went off without a hitch.
Thank you so much Adam & Char, your family and friends were all great to meet and it was my favorite weddings so far this year.
